Kondagattu Temple Gears Up for Hanuman Jayanti



KARIMNAGAR: Authorities at the Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Kondagattu are preparing to conduct Hanuman Jayanti celebrations from May 10 to May 12.Temple executive officer S. Anjana Reddy met endowments minister Konda Surekha at her camp office in Warangal on Saturday and invited her to the event. The EO briefed the minister on arrangements for the three-day festival, and the minister responded positively. Earlier, Choppadandi MLA and Karimnagar DCC president Medipally Satyam, along with the EO, released the festival wall poster. The EO said the celebrations will include Tryahnika and Trikundatmaka homas in the yagnashala, Snapana Thirumanjanam, special abhishekams and Oonjal Seva. A valediction ceremony for devotees who undertook Hanuman deeksha will be held at the Deeksha Mandapam, and cultural programmes have been planned for pilgrims. Medipally Satyam thanked endowments commissioner M. Hanumantha Rao for increasing the daily wage of sanitation workers at the temple from Rs 295 to Rs 495, and sought sanction of five additional posts to maintain cleanliness. The poster launch was attended by temple officials, priests and local representatives.
