Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday caught red-handed Raja Reddy, Special Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition), Satish, a Deputy Tahsildar and Durgalah, driver of National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) at Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district, while accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000 from a complainant. The bribe was accepted by Satish. Raja Reddy demanded an amount of Rs.50,000 while Satish demanded an amount of Rs.15,000 as a reward for official favour for already processed and forwarded the file of complainant, according to a press release. The reward was demanded for processing the file related to acquisition of land measuring three acres and 21 guntas at Huselli village to NIMZ at Zaheerabad for which the complainant received the cheque of Rs.52,87,500. The tainted bribe amount of Rs.15,000 was recovered from the possession of Satish. The left-hand fingers of Satish and his left side front pocket trouser yielded positive results in the chemical test. Additionally, the driver demanded Rs.1 lakh by assuring to get completed the work of complainant’s brother, who is differently abled, which was pending with the higher officials. The ACB officials arrested three persons and produced them before the special court for ACB cases in Nampally.
