Nizamabad: Advisor to the State government and senior MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has expressed concern over delays in developmental works, particularly in his Banswada Assembly constituency.He reportedly raised the issue of the Siddapur reservoir works, which have been delayed, and demanded immediate release of funds for their completion. The remarks have drawn attention in political circles as he is currently associated with the Congress after joining the party last year.Sources said Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has been vocal for the past two days over the issue, describing the prolonged delay in the project as a matter of concern for local development. He is said to have expressed dissatisfaction over the pace of work and sought urgent intervention.According to sources, the issue has led to discussion within party circles, as coordination is being maintained with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on constituency development matters.The State Congress leadership, including TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, is reportedly monitoring developments related to ongoing works in Banswada constituency.Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha member Vem Narender Reddy met Mohammad Ali Shabbir in Hyderabad on Tuesday, and discussions reportedly included development issues of the erstwhile Nizamabad district, particularly Banswada constituency.Official response from the government on Pocharam Srinivas Reddy’s remarks is awaited.
