New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, nominated by government to lead a diplomatic delegation but not named by the Congress, took a dig at his own party, saying, “I am honoured by the invitation of the government of India to lead an all-party delegation to five key capitals. When national interest is involved, I will not be found wanting.”“My party leadership is entitled to its opinion of my abilities or lack thereof, and I think that is really for them to explain. I have absolutely no comment to make on that,” the Congress MP said, adding he had also informed his party when he got the call.Rubbing salt to the Congress wound, the BJP said, “The Congress’s choices to represent India at diplomatic meetings are not just intriguing, they are deeply questionable.”
