Hyderabad: As part of the Praja Palana — Pragathi Pranalika programme, GHMC organised an indie puppy adoption drive, sterilisation of stray dogs and anti-rabies vaccinations on Tuesday. The initiative was carried out across all city circles by the GHMC veterinary department, where a total of 27 indie puppies were given for adoption, 69 stray dogs were sterilised, and 495 dogs were vaccinated against rabies. Officials said the drive aims to control the stray dog population, prevent rabies and promote animal welfare. Citizens were encouraged to adopt indie puppies and support their care.
