BRS Social Media Leader Krishank Among Nine Arrested



Hyderabad: Kukatpally police arrested BRS social media leader Manne Krishank along with eight others and produced them before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody on Thursday. Police said the incident pertained to allegedly objectionable content and exchanges on social media platforms and that they were acting on a complaint lodged by Congress social media coordinator RajenderThe controversy revolved around a post releasing a picture of a purported Telugu newspaper clipping with the headline claiming that Krishank and his wife were involved in a job scam. Krishank refuted the claims. In response, Krishank lodged a complaint, leading to the registration of a counter case. He alleged that made derogatory and offensive remarks targeting his family were made by Rajendar, prompting him to seek legal action. Krishank stated that the allegations were false and claimed that no such news article was published in the newspaper. Police officials confirmed that both cases are being investigated simultaneously. They stated that the nature of the social media posts, the intent behind them, and the allegations made by both sides are under scrutiny.Minor Booked Under Pocso Act For Deceiving Minor Girl Hyderabad: Vanasthalipuram police booked a minor under the Pocso Act for allegedly deceiving and exploited a minor girl under the pretext of a relationship. During the course of investigation, the accused was apprehended and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. Authorities subsequently remanded him to a juvenile home as per legal procedure. According to police, the accused, a minor from a Telangana district, had befriended the girl and gained her trust by proferring love. Taking advantage of the relationship, he allegedly assaulted and exploited the victim. Sri Pochamma Peddamma Temple Near Sagar Ring Road Burgled Hyderabad: Unidentified miscreants burgled the Sri Pochamma Peddamma Temple located near Sagar Ring Road in Mallikarjunanagar, The LB Nagar police said on Thursday. Quoting from a complaint lodged by Darpelly Subash, farmer and temple chairman, they said the hundi containing `10,000 cash, a silver aarati stand weighing approximately 25 grams and a gold black beads chain weighing about 5 grams were stolen. According to the police, the temple priest had secured the premises and left for home on Wednesday. On returning on Thursday, he found the iron grill locks broken and the belongings missing. The priest informed temple chairman Subash, who rushed to the spot and confirmed the theft. Police suspect that the offenders entered the temple by scaling the compound wall before breaking open the locks. Investigations were underway, police said.26-yr-old Woman Dies By Suicide At Kushaiguda Hyderabad: A 26-year-old woman died allegedly by suicide, Kushaiguda police said on Thursday. The victim’s father, Rajender Singh, a resident of Bidar in Karnataka, tried to contact his daughter multiple times but received no response. Growing suspicious, he alerted a neighbour, Bharateshwaramma, who visited the house to check on her. Upon entering the residence, the neighbour found the body of the victim, Sonam Thakur in the bedroom. She immediately called emergency services, but the ambulance personnel who reached the scene and examined Sonam confirmed that she was dead. On receiving information, her husbad husband and other family members rushed to the spot. Based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s father, Kushaiguda police registered a case and began an investigation. The reasons behind the suicide are yet to be ascertained.
