Hyderabad: The 100-day action plan under the urban local bodies (ULBs) outside the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits is presently underway with 76 days completed on Saturday. Aimed at transforming municipal areas into livable, sustainable and climate-resilient cities, the programme started on Telangana Formation Day that was on June 2. A total of 56 activities were taken up under the programme, including de-silting of storm drains, enhanced sanitation activities as well as measures to contain vector-borne diseases.Many schools also participated in the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns pertaining to containment of vector-borne diseases and good sanitation practices, including the segregation of waste.
