Woman dies by suicide, kin allege dowry harassment

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old woman died accidentally while boarding Janmabhoomi express at Cherlapally railway station on Sunday. The incident occurred when she was boarding a train along with her two children to reach her mother-in-law’s house in Anakapalli district in Andhra Pradesh. M Sweetha, a resident of Ramachandranagar in Chintal, first came to Lingampally railway station along with her husband Venkatesh and two children. She boarded D3 coach along with children instead of D8 where she reserved seats for them. When the train reached Cherlapally railway station, Sweetha and the children got down to enter D8 coach. She helped her two children to board the coach safely and when she was attempting to enter it the train started moving. As a result, she slipped and got crushed under the wheels, the railway police said. The police booked a case and the body was handed over to the family members after an autopsy at the Gandhi hospital mortuary.
