WARANGAL: Warangal Registration Office (RO) sub-registrar-I Jamalapuri Ramanarsimha Rao has been placed under suspension following allegations of corruption, according to official orders issued by the special secretary (Registration and Stamps) and in-charge commissioner Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu.The action follows Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raids conducted on April 3 at the Warangal RO office. During the searches, officials reportedly found evidence of illegal registrations and disproportionate assets. Sub-registrar-II Anand had already been suspended earlier in connection with the same case. The latest suspension of Ramanarsimha Rao was taken based on a report submitted by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Subhashini. Although the disciplinary action was finalised on April 10, formal orders were delayed due to intervening holidays. Official sources said the investigation also revealed suspected online transactions amounting to ?43 lakh between the two sub-registrars. The inquiry is continuing to ascertain whether more officials were involved in the alleged irregular registration network.
