NEW DELHI: Gujarat’s tableau at the 76th Republic Day celebrations will showcase the theme “Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Ane Vikas,” blending the state’s cultural heritage with its modern achievements.Key highlights include:Historical legacy and modern achievements: The tableau features the 12th-century ‘Kirti Toran’ from Vadnagar and the towering ‘Statue of Unity’, a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and symboliseg Gujarat’s rich heritage and contemporary progress.Atmanirbhar Bharat: It showcases Gujarat’s advancements in defense, technology, automobiles, and manufacturing, including the C-295 aircraft unit in Vadodara.Tribal pride and cultural honours: The tableau highlights Gujarat’s tribal pride through Pithora paintings and celebrates the 100th birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee with the ‘Atal Bridge’ over the Sabarmati River.Underwater sports and emerging Initiatives: It also emphasizes Gujarat’s emerging underwater sports at Dwarika and Shivrajpur Beach.Visual appeal and music: The tableau is enhanced by Gujarat’s vibrant Maniyara Raas and Duha music, with visuals provided by Discovery Channel.The tableau will be one of 30 featured in the parade.The President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, will be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations. Gujarat’s Information Department has produced the tableau under the guidance of key officials.
