ANANTAPUR: Angry villagers of Moragudi in Jammalamadugu mandal of Kadapa district demolished the house of an alleged rapist and a killer using a JCB on Sunday. According to information, Rehmatullah had lured a three-year-old girl by offering her a banana while she had been playing outside her house at Kambaladinne village in Mylavaram mandal of Kadapa district on Friday. He took the girl to a nearby deserted area and raped her. Then, fearing that she would inform her parents, he throttled and killed her.Villagers found the girl’s dead body the same day. They caught Rehmatullah, beat him up severely, and handed him over to police.When villagers of Moragudi came to know that Rehmatullah had raped and killed the three-year-old girl, they demolished his house using a JCB, saying the rapist and his family should not be living in their village. It is said Rehmatullah’s mother works in Kuwait. His father is a construction worker. They had already sold their house but had continued to live in it. It is said the villagers informed the new owner of the house before demolishing it.When police came to know about the developments, they rushed to Moragudi village and made the necessary arrangements.
