WARANGAL: With two days left for the conclusion of the Saraswati Pushkaralu and a heavy weekend rush of devotees anticipated, officials in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district are on high alert. Various departments are working round the clock to ensure the spiritual event at Kaleshwaram in Mahadevpur mandal concludes on a safe and memorable note. At the Triveni Sangamam, where thousands of devotees gather to take the Punya Snanam (holy dip), the fisheries department has deployed tight security measures at the Main Ghat and Saraswati Ghat. Around 50 expert swimmers and 15 staff members are working in two shifts under the supervision of special officers Vijay Kumar and Avinash. Life jackets, three boats and safety balloons have been kept ready to handle emergencies.On Saturday, the 10th day of the Pushkaralu, heavy footfall was witnessed from early morning. District collector Rahul Sharma and SP Kiran Khare have been overseeing extensive arrangements. Departments including police, revenue, panchayat raj, health, rural water supply and endowments are working in close coordination to provide clean drinking water, medical care and sanitation.Meanwhile, to ease the heavy traffic flow during the final weekend of Pushkaralu, collector Rahul Sharma directed that no toll fees be collected, ensuring smoother movement of vehicles.
