
Karnataka: Unidentified persons stabbed a car driver working for Karnataka Minister for Women and Child Development Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s son Mrinal Hebbalkar at Belagavi on Tuesday afternoon. According to police, the victim has been identified as Basavanta Ganapati Kadolkar of Belagundi village. He suffered stab wounds on his shoulder, chest and thigh. The police said two unknown assailants came on a motorcycle and attacked the driver with a knife. They fled the scene after committing the crime. Upon receiving information, Mrinal Hebbalkar rushed to the hospital where Basavanta Ganapati was admitted and enquired about the incident. The police said the reasons behind the incident were yet to be known.
