Traffic Cop, Team Feted For Helping Injured Doc

Hyderabad: Reserve sub-inspector (RSI) of Begumpet traffic police station, A. Ashok Reddy, and his team were felicitated for ensuring timely medical aid to a woman doctor, who suffered an injury after falling from her motorcycle. Assistant commissioner of police (ACP), traffic-I, G. Shankar Raju, felicitated Ashok Reddy and his team, on Saturday.The accident occurred when the doctor was travelling on a two-wheeler from Hyderabad Public School (HPS) exit gate towards Rasoolpura. At the same time, an unidentified motorcyclist gave a minor hit to her right leg and fled the scene. As a result, she sustained bleeding injuries to her right leg. On noticing it, Ashok Reddy, who is also in-charge of crane-IV of Begumpet traffic police station, came to her rescue and administered first-aid using the medical kit available in the crane. Later, the injured doctor was shifted to a hospital for further treatment. In recognition of the commendable services rendered by Ashok and his team, the ACP felicitated them with a shawl and the recommendation for a reward from senior officials as appreciation of their services.
