Hyderabad: The Telangana Department of Tourism will organise a series of major tourism events in January 2026, including the International Kite and Sweet Festival, the Hot Air Balloon Festival and a Drone Festival, at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad.The International Kite and Sweet Festival will be held from January 13 to 15, 2026, while the Hot Air Balloon Festival is scheduled from January 16 to 18, 2026. In addition, a Drone Festival will be organised on January 13 and 14, coinciding with Drone Day celebrations.Tourism officials said the events are aimed at showcasing Telangana’s tourist destinations and attracting a larger number of domestic and international visitors. Along with traditional attractions such as kite flying and regional sweets, the festivals will also feature modern experiences, including hot air ballooning and drone displays, to offer a diverse cultural and recreational experience.An interdepartmental coordination meeting in this regard was held on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture department, Jayesh Ranjan.
