Nellore: TD leaders Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy launched sharp attacks on YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over the latter’s visit to Nellore, accusing him of political hypocrisy, corruption and misrule.Somireddy questioned the former chief minister’s choice of meeting jailed former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy and suspended MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy. He called it a shameful endorsement of tainted leaders. The TD leader pointed out that Jagan, as CM, had turned law into a tool of vengeance, jailing several TDP leaders and even IAS and IPS officers after booking false cases against them. In a separate statement, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy accused the YSRC chief of betraying long-time loyalists. He recalled his family’s decades-long support for the YSR family and said Jagan had discarded even those closest to him. Both Somireddy and Sridhar Reddy slammed Jagan’s allegations of police highhandedness, calling it ironic, given the way he (the former CM) ran the state. “From 175-seat dreams to 11-seat reality. It’s time Jagan stops preaching and starts reflecting,” said Somireddy.
