Hyderabad: Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) shared more information with CID and ED to support the ongoing investigation related to HCA criminal cases and attached two forensic audit reports. In a letter addressed to the CID chief Charu Sinha and ED Joint Director Rohit Anand, TCA president Yendala Laxmi Narayana and general secretary Dharam Guruva Reddy urged them to investigate into the affairs of HCA from 2019 to 2022, where the office bearers of HCA were facing several allegations of corruption and financial irregularities by the then president Md. Azharuddin, John Manoj, R. Vijayanand, Purushotham Agarwal and Surender Agarwal. The funds allocated and transferred by BCCI need to be examined in the context that in spite of such huge amounts of funds approximately around Rs.500 crore to Rs.600 crore in last 10 years were given to HCA. But there is not an iota of evidence of any development of cricket infrastructure anywhere in Hyderabad nor HCA built any properties or purchased any clean and free assets for HCA till date. “If the agencies examine the personal assets growth of most of the office bearers of HCA for last 10 years, one can understand the gravity of corruption and fraudulent activity prevailing in HCA,” they said, adding that this kind of misappropriation of funds, corruption, cheating and forgery would not have happened without any fear of law consistently for about 10 years without the support and blessing of individuals who were in power, who were utilizing the cricket platform as a power tool. “We came to know that MLC K. Kavitha and BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) have been influencing and running the show at HCA from behind the scenes ever since Telangana was formed and the above mentioned individuals were in position of power as Ministers, public representatives and nominated pets,” they alleged. The IPL tickets sales contract was given to KTR’s brother-in-law Raj Pakala companies. Several other vendorships like food contracts during IPL matches were given to Surabhi Caterers owned by a relative of both Kavitha, KTR and a close relative of arrested HCA president A Jagan Mohan Rao. The travels and hotel bookings etc were also managed by the same people, they added.
