Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli was the chief guest at the grand pre-release event of Junior, where he heaped praise on the film’s cast and crew for transforming a modest project into a large-scale cinematic spectacle. The event, held ahead of the film’s theatrical release on July 18, was a star-studded evening filled with celebration and enthusiasm.Addressing the gathering, Rajamouli recalled his first impression of the film. “When Sai Korrapati garu started working on Junior, I assumed it was a small film with a good story. But with the additions of Sreeleela, Genelia, Ravichandran, Devi Sri Prasad, Senthil Kumar, and Peter Hein, it grew into a big-ticket entertainer,” he said.He pointed out that the film’s massive release across more than 1,000 screens reflects the strong buzz among audiences. “Such a wide release happens only when there’s genuine curiosity. Junior has successfully created that Day 1 excitement,” he said, congratulating producer Sai Korrapati for taking the film to such heights.Rajamouli had special praise for Genelia Deshmukh, who returns to the silver screen with Junior after a long hiatus. “She looks just the same as she did back then. I’m confident that cinematographer Senthil will present a fresh and exciting version of her on screen,” he remarked. He also showered appreciation on Sreeleela, calling her “an amazing dancer with fantastic screen presence,” and predicted a stellar future for the rising star. He added, “I heard she managed both her studies and shooting with great dedication. She used to attend her classes and exams in Mumbai during the day, then fly to Hyderabad in the evening for the ‘Vairala Vayyari’ song shoot, and rush back to Mumbai the next morning. That level of commitment to both education and career is truly commendable.”Rajamouli didn’t forget to recognize Radha Krishna, who has been nurturing the project for over three years. “His dedication to this film is remarkable. I’m confident that Junior will give him the recognition he truly deserves,” he said.Speaking about the film’s music, Rajamouli praised composer Devi Sri Prasad for elevating both emotion and entertainment. “‘Vairala Vayyari’ has become a viral hit and played a key role in creating a buzz for the film. DSP always knows how to give a film its soul through music,” he stated.
