Vijayawada: Telugu Desam head and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has elaborated on his ‘My Telugu Family’ concept and said TD’s six foundational principles or resolutions at Mahanadu 2025 “will rewrite the history of the Telugu people and build our future.”Naidu said at the Mahanadu on Wednesday, “Through these resolutions, we aim to make the Telugu people the No. 1 community globally by 2047. That’s our singular mission.”In the morning, Naidu paid floral tributes to the TD founder at the NTR statue marking the matinee idol’s 102nd birth anniversary at the Mahanadu premises in Kadapa.Addressing the annual conclave, Naidu said, “NTR is the only leader worshipped by the entire Telugu nation. His birth anniversary is celebrated as a festival by the Telugu people worldwide. History has never seen a single individual excel as king in two fields–cinema and politics.“NTR rose like Everest in the history of Telugu cinema, captivating his audiences for 33 years. His weapons were ethics, honesty and perseverance. NTR never compromised on self-respect and self-esteem. In politics for 13 transformative years, NTR created a legacy like no other.”“If NTR is born again, it would be on this land for the Telugu nation and we’ll repay the debt.”Naidu said, “We have proposed 6 resolutions, statutes in the name of my Telugu family, combining the values of the old generation with the ideas and needs of the new generation.”Congratulating his son and minister Nara Lokesh on shaping these six resolutions, Naidu said that these formed the roadmap to make the Telugus ‘number 1’ in the world. These resolutions of global recognition for Telugu Identity, youth empowerment (Yuvagalam), women empowerment (Sthree Shakti), social re-engineering, support for farmers and ‘Cadre as the backbone – workers are leaders’, “would change the future.”“In political and administrative matters, State is first. In party, Activist is first. Activist is the leader and the high command. This is my theory. The members in the TD that was born as a regional party totaled one crore today. This is our strength. Some 61 worthies from our party came to the assembly for the first time. We have given an opportunity to the youth. We have brought in new leadership. We gave new faces a chance to be MLAs, MPs and ministers,” Naidu claimed.Saying that women power is a game changer, Naidu announced that on June 12, his government would give Rs 15,000 to beneficiaries of Thalliki Vanadanam. Women would be allowed free travel in RTC buses from August 15. “We will implement all the promises and my intention is that women should be equal to men politically, economically and socially.”Naidu warned, “We will not tolerate smear campaigns or indecent remarks about women on social media. For those who misbehave with girls, that will be their last day.”The party chief said, “Farmer welfare is in the party’s core ideology. We will implement the Agritech policy to grant special recognition to the Telugu farmer. We will change the lives of farmers by promoting tribal products and coffee in Uttarandhra, aqua in the coastal regions and horticulture in Rayalaseema.”Naidu announced that on June 12, the state government would provide Rs 20,000 as an annual gift to every farmer under the Annadata scheme.
