Under the leadership of PM Modi ji and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah ji, we are moving forward firmly towards the accomplishment of the resolve of making the country completely Maoist-free by March 31, 2026,” the CM added.With the latest action, 221 Naxalites have been killed in separate encounters in Chhattisgarh so far this year.Of them, 204 were eliminated in the Bastar division, which includes districts of Bijapur, Bastar, Kanker, Konadagaon, Narayanpur, Sukma, and Dantewada, as per police.Notably, anti-Naxalite operations have intensified in Chhattisgarh since the BJP was elected to power in the 2023 assembly polls.More than 420 Maoist cadres, including senior functionaries, have been gunned down by security forces in separate encounters during this period.Shah has repeatedly declared that under the leadership of PM Modi, the government is committed to eradicating Naxalism by March 31 next year.
