“I have always been inspired by the sea,” Alayna shares. “There’s something about its mystery, its movement, and the way it holds both calm and chaos. Tidal Bloom came from that emotion—it’s about flow, freedom, and the beauty of hidden depths.” The boutique space itself is a study in restraint. Designed to let the clothes breathe, the minimal interiors are washed in serene whites and soft greys, much like sunlight filtering through shallow waters. Subtle curves in shelving, fluid lighting placements, and reflective surfaces hint at wave patterns and underwater glints, letting each garment emerge as a discovery. The collection begins at the shoreline. Cool whites, pale beiges, and muted blues dominate the front racks—a visual metaphor for dipping one’s toes into calm, shallow waters. As you move inward, the palette deepens. Midnight blacks, coral-inspired pinks, and ocean greens evoke the rich life of the sea floor. “We wanted people to feel like they are diving in. The further you walk, the deeper you go,” Alayna explains. Silhouettes are fluid yet sculptural. Billowing fabrics mimic the way currents move around corals and kelp, while tailored blazers and sharply cut jackets bring structure—a balance between softness and strength. Each piece is hand-embellished, with embroidery that takes up to ten days to finish. Coral motifs, shell patterns, and organic lines are all drawn from marine life. “Fashion, for me, is where my love for art and business meet,” says Alayna, who has previously showcased her paintings at her mother’s Sublime Galleria. “Every piece in this collection is like a canvas. We have worked closely with artisans, hand-drawing prints that later become embroidery or fabric designs.” The standout Nadia dress features a delicate interplay of chiffon, satin, and hand-embroidered beading. In tones of deep indigo and seafoam, it shimmers like moonlight on waves. The Dune Blazer, meanwhile, references coastal sand formations, not just in name but in its colour and subtle texture. The men’s line, surprisingly bold and elegant, mirrors the women’s collection in tone and intent. From soft bamboo shirts with hand-tucked pleats to structured tux-inspired jackets, it presents a refined but adventurous take on modern menswear. “We found a gap in men’s fashion,” Alayna says. “A lot of it feels repetitive. Our aim was to create menswear that isn’t just well-tailored but also expressive. And that meant thinking beyond the typical polo and plain shirt.” Every element of SIORAI is deliberate—from the slow, hand-driven techniques to the materials used. The brand champions high-quality fabrics: silk, linen, bamboo blends, each chosen not just for luxury but also for comfort and sustainability. Pieces are designed to transition from day to night effortlessly, with separates that can be mixed and styled across different occasions and moods. “We wanted to create something for the thoughtful dresser,” Alayna notes. “Someone who sees clothing not just as fashion, but as form, function and feeling.” Even the brand name, SIORAI—Irish for “timeless” or “everlasting”—reflects this ethos. “It took us a while to settle on a name,” she admits. “But ‘SIORAI’ just felt right. It captures what we want the brand to mean: something lasting, something that moves with you through time.” With Tidal Bloom, SIORAI doesn’t just introduce a clothing line. It opens up a whole new language of design—one that whispers of the ocean, embraces imperfection, and invites you to explore both style and self in new, flowing forms.
