Single Window Clearance System For Ganesh Pandals

NELLORE: The Vikrama Simhapuri Ganesh Utsav Samiti announced that all permissions for this year’s Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations would be issued through a single-window clearance system. Samiti honorary president P. Satya Nageswara Rao inaugurated a new office on Sunday at Shivaji Centre in Nellore, following a puja. Honorary advisor P. Surender Reddy, president Kondapalli Srikanth and working president Veluru Mahesh took part in the event. A state-level Ganesh Utsav Samiti has appealed to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for free electricity to support festival organisers. Rao said Ganesh Ghat at Nellore Tank was being developed into a major spiritual and cultural hub with support from officials and public representatives. Srikanth noted that the office would coordinate with various local committees to ensure smooth conduct of the festivities. The five-day festival would be celebrated from August 27 to 31, concluding with a massive immersion procession on August 31 at Nellore Cheruvu (Tank) Ganesh Ghat and Ranganayakulapeta Penna Ghat, working president Mahesh said. Samiti general secretary Mandla Eshwarayya stated that the Andhra Pradesh Ganesh Utsav Samiti, under the leadership of former MP Gokaraju Gangaraju, had already submitted a petition in Amaravati seeking free power and necessary clearances, to which the state government has responded positively.
