Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has directed the concerned authorities to expedite the relocation of polluting industries beyond Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR).Bhatti chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Revenue Resource Mobilisation at the Secretariat on Tuesday, joined by minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy. The committee commended officials from the commercial taxes and mining departments for their improved revenue generation performance. Progress on proposals related to the Rajiv Swagruha and Housing Board departments was also reviewed. Principal secretary of finance Sandeep Kumar Sultania, R&B special secretary Vikas Raj, commercial taxes principal secretary Rizvi, energy principal secretary Navin Mittal, industries principal secretary Sanjay Kumar, revenue secretary Lokesh Kumar, excise commissioner Hari Kiran, housing VC & MD Gautam and other senior officials attended the meeting.Owaisi slams Pak General’s threats Hyderabad: AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi strongly condemned the recent threats made by Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir against India, describing the language as “condemnable” and more alarming because the remarks were delivered on US soil.Owaisi called Munir a “cheap person” and urged the Modi government to respond with more than just a statement from the ministry of external affairs. Prabhakar, principal of the University College of Science, spoke about his pioneering contributions and how his ideas shaped the discipline. University librarian Dr A. S. Chakravarthy welcomed the guests and detailed the ongoing digitisation efforts and the extensive resources and services offered at Osmania University. BuildNow eases building approvals: GHMCHyderabad: Since its launch, GHMC’s BuildNow app has approved 822 building permissions and occupancy certificates. The app, which replaced the TG-bPASS, handles approvals for building permissions, layout permissions and occupancy certificates.Launched by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on March 20, GHMC stated that the app has improved efficiency and transparency in service delivery for residents and builders alike.
