Vijayawada: The State Election Commission (SEC) has lifted the model code of conduct in the gram panchayats of Kondapi and Kadiapulanka and in mandals of Ramakuppam, Karempudi and Vidavaluru from Wednesday following completion of conduct of elections.However, the model code of conduct would remain in force in the revenue divisions of Pulivendula and Kadapa till the completion of elections for Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies in Pulivendula and Vontimitta. The State Election Commissioner Nilam Sahney issued an order here on Wednesday to lift the model code of conduct which came into force on July 28, following issue of notification for conduct of elections to Kondapi gram panchayat in Kondapi mandal in Prakasam district and to the post of sarpanch of Kadiapulanka gram panchayat in East Godavari district and to three Mandal Parihad Territorial Constituencies in Chittoor, Palnadu and Nellore districts.
