Nellore: AP endowments minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy has announced that elaborate arrangements were being made for the upcoming Brahmotsavams of Sri Penusila Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in Penchalakona, with special focus on the comfort and satisfaction of common devotees.The minister, along with Venkatagiri MLA Kurugondla Ramakrishna, chaired a coordination meeting with officials and festival committee members to review preparations for the grand festival scheduled from May 8 to 14.Highlighting several new initiatives, the minister said, “For the first time, we are introducing free distribution of the sacred Laddu Prasadam to devotees on the days of Garuda Seva and Kalyanotsavam.He instructed authorities to provide water bottles, buttermilk, milk and biscuits for children along the queues, keeping the summer heat in mind.To ensure safety and crowd management, the minister directed installation of CCTV cameras, headcount machines and a round-the-clock command control centre. Adequate police personnel will also be deployed to maintain law and order.Health camps will be set up under the medical and health department, with availability of ORS sachets, essential medicines, ambulances and fire engines.Officials from various departments including endowments, revenue, police, electricity, municipal, R&B and medical were instructed to be vigilant and execute their assigned duties effectively.The minister emphasised that festival committee members must treat their roles not as honorary positions but as responsibilities to serve devotees. “Our primary goal is to ensure that every devotee, especially the common man, gets a peaceful and fulfilling darshan of the Lord,” he said.
