Raipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually inaugurated 103 redeveloped railway stations across the country under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including five Amrit Stations in Chhattisgarh and six in Madhya Pradesh.These railway stations have been upgraded with the aim of providing world-class amenities to the passengers.The five Amrit Stations in Chhattisgarh that were inaugurated included Ambikapur, Urkura, Bhilai, Bhanupratappur and Dongargarh railway stations.Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the virtual programme at Ambikapur Amrit Station.He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Modi for this ‘valuable gift’ to Chhattisgarh.Six Amrit Stations in Madhya Pradesh were also inaugurated on the occasion.They are Narmadapuram, Katni, Orchha, Seoni, Shajapur, and Shridham Amrit Stations.All these stations have not only been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, they have also incorporated Indian culture, and heritage.Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav has described the Amrit Stations as ‘gateway to development’ of India and said Mr. Modi has resolved to make India a leading country of the world, and under his leadership, India is rapidly changing.He attended the virtual programme at Narmadapuram Amrit Station in the state.
