The gangrape of the 20-year-old student occurred on the night of June 15, when she and her friend were at an isolated spot on Gopalpur beach.Over the past four days, the Crime Branch team has been gathering evidence and recording statements from witnesses, including locals and eatery owners near the beach. The investigation team also seized seven mobile phones and other materials from the accused.Additionally, the team has collected documents related to the case, including the first information report (FIR), and registered a new case.
