VIJAYAWADA: NTR district collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha on Tuesday directed education officials to studiously implement a 100-day action plan in a structured manner to ensure that Class X students studying in government schools in the district achieve good results. In this regard, the collector reviewed the action plan with education department officials, which is being implemented in the district from December 6 onwards. Mandal education officers participated in the meeting virtually. Dr. Lakshmisha instructed officials to closely monitor student-wise performance and organise regular counselling and motivation sessions to guide the students consistently. Daily slip tests should be conducted without fail and their outcomes analysed in detail to identify learning gaps. Targeted measures must then be taken to strengthen students in weak areas. Emphasising on qualitative improvement, the collector said students identified as ‘Rising Stars’ should be nurtured to emerge as ‘Shining Stars’. He wanted district and mandal academic forums to continuously supervise students and ensure that they remain on a steady path of progress. Dr. Lakshmisha said each school will be assigned a special officer who will make periodic visits, provide guidance and review progress at regular intervals. He underlined that the state government is extending all necessary support and resources to ensure a bright future for Class X students.
