Massive protest outside Dhaka High Commission in Delhi over violence against Hindus, cops lathi charge

Hundreds of activists affiliated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a protest outside the Bangladesh High Commission on Tuesday, triggering disruption in the high-security diplomatic zone as demonstrators attempted to breach police barricades.Security arrangements had been intensified earlier in the day in anticipation of the protest, which was organised to condemn alleged incidents of communal violence, including the recent killing of a Hindu man, Dipu Chandra Das,in Bangladesh.Authorities deployed additional police and paramilitary personnel, erecting three layers of barricades around the mission.Despite the heavy security presence, police faced difficulty containing the crowd as protesters surged forward, attempting to scale the barricades.Demonstrators raised slogans criticising the Bangladesh government and displayed banners and placards expressing anger over the incident.
