Hyderabad: A private bank executive suffered injuries after a credit card holder, who allegedly manhandled and set his pet dog on him for asking him to repay pending dues at Jawahar Nagar in Hyderabad on Thursday. In his complaint, the bank executive Koduri Satyanarayana (39), a resident of Rangareddy Nagar in Quthbullapur, said that he attended duty at 10 am and went the residence of the customer Nandivardhan Rao Baddepareddy at Jawaharnagar, as part of the field duty at 4.30 pm. Satyanarayana went to the first floor to recover the credit card bill in Rao’s house. However, Rao’s relatives said that he was w not at the home. When he came back from the downstairs and was going back, Rao came and enquired about him. In response, Satyanarayana said he was from the bank that issued the credit card to him. Cursing at him, Rao, who was holding his pet dog, slapped Satyanarayana on his cheeks, and hit his mobile phone to the ground and damaged it. Rao also pushed his pet dog against Satyanarayana after which the dog bit him on his left leg. Satyanarayana, however, managed to escape from the premises and reached a private hospital for treatment. He called up his manager and his colleagues about the incident. They then took him to Madhura Nagar police station to lodge a complaint requesting to take necessary action as per law. Based on Satyanarayana’s complaint, the police booked a case against Rao under various Sections of BNS. Madhura Nagar Sub-Inspector SNG Avinash Babu said, “Rao appeared before us after issuing a notice to him. We are collecting more details from him including whether the dog was vaccinated.”
