Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police on Friday arrested an inter-State offender from West Bengal on charges of Amphetamine drugs. Fifty grams of Amphetamine drug and a mobile phone was seized from the possession of the arrested person – Rajikul Hoque (21), a labourer and resident of Malda district in West Bengal, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, Andhe Srinivasa Rao. Rao said Rajikul Hoque had earlier migrated to Hyderabad from West Bengal and worked as mason. A few days later, he returned to his hometown and started working as labour to support his family. Facing financial difficulties and unable to manage his household expenses, he came in contact with Mojibur Mistri, a resident of Mojampur in Malda. Mojibur convinced him that drug dealing was highly profitable. In an attempt to overcome his financial problems, Rajikul Hoque purchased 50 grams of Amphetamine and reached Hyderabad with an intention of selling it to drug users. While waiting near Chilkalguda to sell the drug, the police apprehended him for possessing the contraband. Mistri, who was found to be involved in drug supply, is absconding.
