Kapus Support Bolisetti Satya’s Comments

KAKINADA: The remarks of Jana Sena leader Bolisetti Satyanarayana that the Telugu Desam is not following the alliance norms and the Jana Sena cadres are not being given a proper share of the nominated posts have caused tremors in the Kapu community.Many Kapu leaders backed Satyanarayana’s remarks. Kapu Nadu chief adviser DN Ramesh noted that the Kapus led by him had met Chandrababu Naidu before the 2014 polls and sought proper recognition to Kapus. Following this, the Pithapuram assembly seat was given to Kapus. This helped Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan win the 2024 elections, he said. However, he said, “Pawan Kalyan has done nothing. Even Jana Sena functionaries are worried about this.” He suggested Pawan Kalyan ask and get the lion’s share in nominated posts for the JS. Another leader, J Nagababu, said the Jana Sena party lacked proper representation at the grassroots level. “Naidu thinks high of his strength and is not giving the nominated posts to Jana Sena as per the ratio of seats the party holds in the legislature.” Nagababu said that he along with other Kapu leaders have warned Pawan Kalyan before forging an alliance with Naidu in 2024. Pawan Kalyan should devise strategies for strengthening the party at all levels by appointing a group of coordinators, he said. Kapus, he said, have the strength to organise BCs, SCs and STs into the Jana Sena fold and Pawan Kalyan should act accordingly. “Kalyan would do justice to all communities who support him.” He said that in the present alliance government, injustice was being meted out to the JS in nominated posts and this must be corrected.
