Twenty candidates from Kushwaha community won on NDA tickets – six from BJP and 11 from JD(U) compared to only six of the grand alliance, including three from RJD. According to results, the NDA now has 12 Brahmin MLAs, 32 Rajput, 20 Kushwaha, 2 Kayashtha, 15 Yadav, 33 from other OBC categories, 23 Bhumihar, 11 Paswan, 20 SCs, 32 EBCs, one ST and one Muslim.“Women, who played a crucial role in delivering the NDA’s landslide victory, are certain to gain appropriate representation in the new Bihar government,” an alliance leader said.Ten women candidates fielded by BJP have won. Out of JD(U)’s 12 women candidates, nine have won. Of 88 women fielded by parties of NDA and GA, 28 have been elected.Some allies may be sent to state legislative councilA senior BP leader indicated on Sunday that the new state cabinet will include 16–17 ministers from various castes under the BJP quota, 15–16 from the JD(U) quota, excluding the CM post for Nitish Kumar, 3–4 from the LJP (RV) and 1 or 2 from HAM and RLM. There is also a possibility of sending some allies to the state legislative council.
