Hyderabad: HYDRAA officials cleared waterlogging at Jubilee Hills’ KBR Park, with minister Ponnam Prabhakar overseeing the works on Tuesday. Water from the park had stagnated on the road leading towards Jubilee Hills checkpost.Officials from HYDRAA along with Hyderabad traffic police and GHMC cleared the stagnated water using water pumps.Minister Prabhakar said that they are planning on expansion works of the pipelines. Speaking with officials, he said that as only one side of the road has drain vents for the water to drain into, the other side of the road is experiencing waterlogging. He said that they will prepare a proposal about establishing pipelines with the Council, and will get the project approved. He urged HYDRAA to make arrangements for free flow of water until the project gets approved.HYDRAA also saved an injured man at Gandhi Hospital premises, who fell into an under-construction sump pit. 35-year-old Harish, who is presumed to be drunk, accidentally fell into the pit on Monday night. While attempting to get out, he injured himself from the iron rods raised for the sump’s side wall. After receiving information, HYDRAA’s DRF staffers rushed to the spot and cut some of the iron rods to bring him out. DRF staffers said that Harish is being treated in Gandhi hospital.
