If industry sources are to be believed, the much-anticipated period action adventure Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring power star Pawan Kalyan, has been snapped up by an OTT platform for a whopping ₹60 crore. This deal is among the highest OTT acquisitions in recent times.“Pawan Kalyan’s charisma and enduring popularity continue to command top dollar. The digital platform didn’t hesitate to spend big, confident in its ability to recover the massive investment,” reveals a trade source.Recent OTT deals for other big-ticket films like Kuberaa, HIT 3, and Thandel were reportedly closed in the ₹50–55 crore range. In comparison, Hari Hara Veera Mallu has managed to surpass them all.“Action films have greater appeal on OTT platforms. They can be dubbed into multiple languages and generate revenue across regions. In contrast, love stories and comedies usually fetch lower prices due to limited audience reach,” the source adds.Meanwhile, the theatrical business is also showing strong momentum. Producer A. M. Rathnam has reportedly secured advance deals worth ₹40 crore from the two Telugu-speaking states alone.“These figures are expected to rise as the release nears. The box office collections will be shared between the producer and distributors on mutually agreed terms. All signs point toward a grand comeback for Pawan Kalyan,” the source concludes.
