Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) chairman and managing director (CMD) Prithviraj Imadi said in a statement on Saturday that the deadline for regularisation of excess load has been extended till December 31. He said the consumers who regularise the excess load within the deadline will be given a 50 percent concession in the fee.He explained that the opportunity for regularisation was provided from March 1 to June 30 this year, and as per the requests of consumers, the deadline has been extended till the end of this year as per the orders of the APERC, thus providing another flexibility. The CMD appealed to household consumers to voluntarily regularise the excess electricity load they are consuming and avail the opportunity to avail the concession. The APEPDCL officials were advised to conduct extensive publicity in the Srikakulam, Parvathipuram, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle, ASR Paderu, East Godavari, Kakinada, Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, West Godavari and Eluru circles under the company’s jurisdiction to create awareness about the uses of additional load regulation, financial benefits available through subsidies.
