Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police detected the double murder for gain case with 72 hours of the incident that occurred in Alwal a few days ago with arrest of a repeat offender previously involved in 29 cases including two each murders and rape cases. The accused has been identified as Chinthakindi Anil Kumar (40), a resident of Krishna Nagar Colony in Macha Bollarum. A detailed analysis of 100 CCTV cameras and further examination of previous crime records helped the police in nabbing Kumar, said Medchal Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police, N Koti Reddy said on Wednesday. Kumar was involved in 21 theft cases, a robbery, two rape-cum-murders, two attempt to murders and three extortion cases that were reported in Alwal, Narsapur and Bollarum police station limits. A known depredator sheet or known delinquent sheet was also maintained at Alwal police station. The police received a complaint from Bojja Latha of Machabollarum stating that her family had been residing at Machabollarum for the past eight years, working as watchmen in an apartment. Her parents, Rajamma and Kanakaiah, had been staying nearby in Alwal for the last five months. Her father had been unwell for the past two months, and she used to visit them daily. On May 4, she went to her parents’ house to deliver a milk packet and found them lying on cots with severe head injuries and bleeding. Unidentified persons killed them by assaulting with a stick and stolen gold jewelry and silver anklets weighing 25 tulas. Based on a complaint, the police booked a case under provisions of 103, and 380 of BNS and took up investigation.
