BJD Announces New State Office Bearers, Six District Presidents

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday announced a major organisational reshuffle, appointing 71 senior leaders as state office bearers and naming new presidents for six remaining organisational districts. Among the key appointments, Debi Prasad Mishra (headquarters), Prafulla Samal, Usha Devi, Bikram Keshari Arukh, Pramila Mallick, Niranjan Pujari, and Chandra Sekhar Sahu have been named senior vice-presidents. The vice-presidents include Pratap Jena (headquarters), Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Rajendra Dholakia, Sanjay Kumar Das Burma, Rabi Narayan Nanda (Jeypore), Ashwini Kumar Patra, Pranab Prakash Das, and Sarada Prasad Nayak. Subash Singh has been appointed Treasurer of the party. The new senior general secretaries are Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, Priti Ranjan Ghadai, Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Tukuni Sahu, Dibya Shankar Mishra, Bhrugu Buxipatra, Pradip Majhi, Debesh Acharya, Purna Chandra Swain, Dhruba Charan Sahoo, Sushant Singh, Sudhir Samal, Ananta Narayan Jena, Lekhasri Samantsinghar, Rajashree Mallick, Manas Mangaraj, Byomkesh Ray, Pranab Balabantaray, Snehangini Chhuria, and Jagannath Saraka. The general secretaries named are Tusharkanti Behera, Souvic Biswal, Sarada Prasanna Jena, Basanti Hembram, Sulochana Das, Bijaya Nayak, Geeta Bastia, Lopamudra Buxipatra, Shreemayee Mishra, Prafulla Singh, Goutam Buddha Das, Sanjib Mallick, Prasanta Behera, Chakramani Kanhar, Pradip Disari, Sushanta Rout, Bibhuti Bhusan Balabantray, Adhiraj Panigrahi, Sulata Deo, Subhasis Khuntia, Sarmishtha Sethy, Anshuman Mohanty, Manmath Routray, Mukesh Pal, Swarup Das, Sukanta Nayak, Rita Sahu, Niranjan Bisi, Srikanta Sahu, Dipali Das, Jagannath Naik, Madhab Sardar, Rajendra Sahu, Prabhu Jani, and Girish Das. Additionally, six new district presidents have been appointed: Ashish Chakraborty (Keonjhar), Ashok Chandra Panda (Bhubaneswar), Pradyumna Tripathy (Rourkela), Dr. Debashis Marandi (Mayurbhanj-2), Rohit Pujari (Sambalpur), and Saroj Kumar Meher (Bolangir). The extensive organisational reshuffle reflects the BJD’s strategy to bolster its internal structure and grassroots network in preparation for upcoming electoral and political challenges.
