He was detained last November, after which deportation proceedings began.Anmol, who hails from Fazilka in Punjab, was his brother Lawrence Bishnoi’s principal overseas handler and allegedly directed extortion rackets, issued threats and coordinated assignments through encrypted channels. He was spotted at a Punjabi wedding in California in April 2023.Sources said around 18 cases have been registered against Anmol, including for his alleged role in the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022.
