Hyderabad: Guguloth Ashok Shiva Ram Naik, an Assistant Public Prosecutor at the Junior Civil Judge Court in Kamareddy and Nimma Sanjay, a police constable of Kamareddy Town police station, were caught red handed by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday when they demanded and accepted the bribe of Rs.10,000 from the complainant. The bribe was accepted through Sanjay for doing an official favour to see the trial of the case to be completed early against the complainant and that the case ends in acquittal in crime number 375/2018 related to a cheating case booked under Section 420 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) of Kamareddy Town police station. Initially, Naik demanded a bribe of Rs.15,000 and it was reduced to Rs.10,000. The ACB officials recovered the tainted bribe of Rs.10,000 from the possession of Sanjay. The details of the complainant are withheld due to security reasons. The officials produced both Naik and Sanjay before the special court for ACB cases in Hyderabad after which the court remanded them to judicial custody.
