In an interview last year, the composer shared how when he was working on the track with film director Aditya Dhar and singer Reble, they initially planned to have the legendary singer contribute to the vocals. However, due to time constraints, they had to shelve the idea. Despite missing out on Asha Bhosle’s vocals, Shashwat ensured her voice would still be part of the song. “Run Down The City – Monica”, which is a modern reimagining of the 1971 classic “Piya Tu Ab To Aja,” originally sung by Asha Bhosle. The track, which blends nostalgic vocals with high-tempo beats, creating a unique fusion of old and new Bollywood music, combining Reble’s voice with Asha Bhonsle’s vocals, was a big hit. The song, which has actors Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun dodging the cops, has an energetic vibe and has been made a “pump anthem” and has become a viral sensation. Shashwat Sachdev shared that the song’s creation was almost divine, happening spontaneously in the studio. He was thrilled to work with Asha Bhosle’s iconic voice, even if indirectly, saying, “I knew this song would make my mother very happy.
