NEW DELHI: Ahead of the 2024 general election, over tens of thousands of people, belonging to various minority communities will get a direct audience with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meeting of the minorities, known as ‘Modi Mitras’ from across the country, is expected to take place in Delhi in December this year.

The minorities would have a wider interaction and direct audience with the PM on various welfare schemes, launched in the country for them in the last 9 years.

‘Modi Mitras’ are not primary members of the saffron party. They were allegedly impressed by the welfare schemes launched by Modi in the last 9 years.

Heading this outreach will be BJP’s Minority Morcha.

The morcha claims to have mobilized around 2.5 lakh ‘Modi Mitras’ so far.

Speaking to , Jamal Siddiqui-national president of BJP Minority Morcha, said:  “Around 10,000 people as ‘Modi Mitras’ belonging to various minority communities, including Muslim, will have a meeting with Narendra Modi.”

“As soon as the date is finalized, all preparations for holding “first of its kind” meeting will start,” he said.

“At this meeting, the participants will share their suggestions and grievances and also they will ideate with the PM on the round development of poor people among the minority communities”, he said.

The ‘Modi Mitras’ hail from states including West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana. Follow channel on WhatsApp
