Re-Evaluation and Improvement Examinations Are Scheduled for June and July



Hyderabad:Telangana recorded a pass percentage above 99 in both ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) examinations in the results declared on Thursday at 11 am. Girls performed better than boys across both categories with over 6,500 students appearing from the state.The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, announced that 5,601 students appeared for the examination from 45 schools in Telangana. Of them, 2,838 were boys and 2,763 were girls. A total of 5,590 students cleared the exam which took the pass percentage to 99.8. Girls recorded a higher success rate at 99.93, while boys stood at 99.68 per cent. Only 11 students did not qualify, including nine boys and two girls.ISC results followed a similar trend. A total of 930 students from 19 schools appeared for the Class XII examination, including 441 boys and 489 girls. Of them, 922 passed which resulted in a pass percentage of 99.14 per cent.Girls again outperformed boys, recording a pass percentage of 99.39 per cent, compared to 98.87 among boys. Eight students did not clear the examination, including five boys and three girls.Category-wise data from Telangana showed that 1,535 Other Backward Classes candidates appeared for ICSE and recorded a pass percentage of 99.80 per cent, while 3,712 candidates from the General category achieved 99.81 per cent. In ISC, 156 OBC candidates recorded a pass percentage of 98.72, while 738 general category candidates achieved 99.19 per cent pass.
