Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Urdu Academy will organise a free coaching camp titled ‘Aao Urdu Seekhe’ (Come, Learn Urdu) from May 1 to May 23. Academy chairman Mohammed Farooq Shubli released the poster for the programme in Vijayawada on Tuesday.Speaking on the occasion, Shubli said the initiative was being conducted under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the guidance of Minority Welfare and Law minister N.M.D. Farooq. He said the academy was promoting Urdu as a language that everyone should learn and appreciate. He also announced that a book titled ‘Randi Urdu Nerchukundam’ (Let Us Learn Urdu), prepared by the Urdu Academy’s Literary Committee, would soon be released by Farooq. The chairman said the free coaching programme aimed to encourage people from different sections of society to learn Urdu in an easy and accessible manner. He expressed confidence that the initiative would help promote the language and strengthen cultural harmony. Andhra Pradesh State Urdu Academy director Sheikh Mohammed Ghouse Peer and district minority welfare officer Abdul Rabbani also participated in the programme. Several prominent personalities, teachers and Urdu enthusiasts attended the event.
