Tirupati: Actor Prakash Raj has received a legal notice from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board member Bhanu Prakash Reddy over his recent remarks on the Ramayana.Sent through legal counsel, the notice demands a public apology and alleges that Prakash Raj made statements offensive to Hindu beliefs and hurt religious sentiments. It claims the remarks were intentional and contained references considered disrespectful. The legal team warned that failure to apologise could result in a defamation case seeking damages of up to Rs 100 crore.Prakash Raj is currently facing strong backlash after his comments at the Kerala Literature Festival went viral on social media, triggering widespread outrage. A criminal case has also been filed against him in Kerala and Delhi over the controversial remarks. However official confirmation and detailed charges are still awaited.
