The Hyderabad Branch of SIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in association with the Income Tax Department, successfully organized an Awareness Campaign on the Income Tax Act, 2025 on the theme “Understanding the New Tax Provisions” on 16th April 2026 at KLN Prasad Auditorium, FTCCI (Chamber of Commerce), Hyderabad, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The programme was graced by Shri Shivraj B. Morey, IRS, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax – 1, Hyderabad, as the Chief Guest. The technical sessions were delivered by eminent speakers from the Income Tax Department, namely Shri Mookambikeyan S., IRS, Addl. CIT – Range 1, Hyderabad, Ms. Reema Yadav, IRS, Addl. CIT – Range 6, Hyderabad, Shri Mathivanan S. A., JCIT, TDS Range 1, Shri Ravi Kiran, IRS, DCIT Circle 3(1), and Shri Shyam Kumar, IRS, DCIT Circle 12(1), who shared valuable insights on the new provisions of the Income Tax Act, 2025 and addressed practical aspects relevant to professionals. The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Chairman, CA. Giridhari Lal Toshniwal, who highlighted the importance of staying updated with the evolving tax framework and appreciated the collaboration with the Income Tax Department. The Master of Ceremonies was conducted by the Secretary, CA. Kumar Pal Tated, who also coordinated the proceedings of the programme. The event witnessed an overwhelming response with the participation of more than 350 members, making it a highly successful and enriching knowledge-sharing initiative.
