Hyderabad: The Congress has accelerated the process of finalising the list of nominated posts, along with filling key organisational positions. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, along with PCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, held a high-level meeting on Wednesday to deliberate on the issue, besides discussing other crucial matters.The leaders decided to expedite the long-pending process of filling nominated posts. Meenakshi Natarajan emphasised that suitable positions should be given to party workers who have contributed significantly to the organisation, particularly those who were actively involved during the elections.The meeting also reviewed the performance of existing corporation chairpersons and reached a preliminary consensus on either extending their tenures or appointing new individuals. It is learnt that the appointment process for nominated posts has reached the final stage, and a Government Order is likely to be issued within the next two days.As part of efforts to strengthen the party structure at the grassroots level, the leaders stressed the importance of filling posts such as PCC working presidents, secretaries, and other organisational roles.Revanth Reddy also directed that a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) be convened within a week to discuss the evolving political dynamics in the state, strategies to counter opposition criticism, and measures to further strengthen the party. A final decision on cabinet expansion and the appointment of district-level committees is expected to be taken during this meeting.
