Four Held At Clandestine Drug Manufacturing Unit In Mysuru

BENGALURU: A major inter-state drug trafficking syndicate and detected by sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau of India (NCB) at a clandestine drug manufacturing lab, at a rented place, in Mysuru and seized drugs worth Rs 10 crore (street value) besides Rs 25.6 lakh in cash, a four-wheeler (SUV) and over 500kgs of various chemicals, so far. The lab in Mysuru was started in 2024. In connection with the drug trafficking, NCB arrested four persons including mastermind Mahindra Kumar Vishol and all the arrested belong to Jalore in Rajasthan. The search on the clandestine unit was conducted after NCB sleuths, a couple of days back, intercepted a SUV with a Karnataka registration at Palsana in Surat district of Gujarat and a detailed search on the SUV led to recovery of about 35 kg of Mephedrone (MD). The recovery of Mephedrone from the SUV prompted NCB sleuths to conduct a raid on the residence of Mahindra Kumar Vishol, the drug syndicate mastermind located at Dastan Residency in Palsana. At Vishol’s residence, NCB sleuths together with Surat police seized about 1.8 kg of Opium worth Rs 25.6 lakh in cash and various chemicals. Continuing their investigation in the case, NCB came across a clandestine drug manufacturing unit located in Hebbal Industrial Area of Mysuru in Karnataka linked to drug trafficking mastermind Mahindra Kumar Vishol. The drug manufacturing unit functioned under the name of Tuk Tuk HouseHold Chemicals Production Solution Manufacturing at Hebbal Industrial Area. On conducting a search on the unit in Hebbal, NCB uncovered a fully equipped lab with sophisticated instruments for drug manufacture. The drug manufacturing unit in Hebbal has been sealed. The NCB investigations threw light on the past of drug trafficking mastermind Mahindra Kumar Vishol where it came to the notice of sleuths that the mastermind had 3 cases in Rajasthan and a lone case in Gujarat. From an opium and heroin drug peddler, Vishol switched over to manufacturing synthetic drugs and set-up a clandestine drug manufacturing unit in Mysuru.
