School Bus Overturns in Mahabubnagar, Students Injured

Mahbubnagar: A school bus carrying students overturned following a collision with a car near Keti Reddy Palli in Balanagar Mandal of Mahabubnagar district on Thursday.The students were on a picnic to Jalavihar when the accident occurred in the early morning hours.According to the police, several students sustained injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.A Mahabubnagar police official said, “The incident happened early this morning while the school bus was en route to a picnic at Jalavihar. Several students were injured and taken to a local hospital for further treatment. More details will be provided later.”Telangana Minister Vakiti Srihari visited the injured students to offer support and reassurance. According to his team, the visit was intended to comfort the students and address the emotional impact of the accident.A release from the Minister’s office stated that Srihari personally contacted doctors in Shadnagar and instructed them to ensure the best possible medical care. He also directed officials to remain with the students and attend to their needs.At the accident site, the Minister assisted in moving a car involved in the collision and coordinated the removal of the overturned bus with the help of a crane. With heavy traffic congestion reported on the highway toward Hyderabad, he also helped clear the traffic.Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
