Ample hints that Tejashwi is INDIA bloc's CM candidate: CPI (ML) Liberation

Ample Hints Suggest Tejashwi as INDIA Bloc’s CM Candidate: CPI (ML) Liberation

The CPI (ML) Liberation has claimed that there is full clarity within the INDIA bloc regarding its chief minister candidate in case the coalition wins power. On the other hand, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is presenting Nitish Kumar, the head of the Janata Dal (United), as its face, but it is believed that a game is being played behind the scenes.

The JD(U) has less than 50 MLAs in the 243-strong assembly, while the BJP, which is numerically superior, has yet to have its own chief minister in the state. The CPI (ML) Liberation has demanded that the Election Commission extend the August 31 deadline for filing claims and objections regarding the wrongful deletion of names in the draft electoral rolls.

A large number of people whose names have been deleted are migrant workers, and the party believes they should be given more time to rectify the issue. The Election Commission has also been criticized for dragging its feet on approving more than 1,000 booth-level agents nominated by the CPI (ML) Liberation.

In a related development, Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, has released a video appealing to his party workers to help people whose names may have been deleted from the electoral rolls due to the Election Commission’s dishonesty or who want to enroll as voters for the first time. Yadav has urged his workers to devote themselves completely to the task and promised that there will be plenty of time for other work once the yatra concludes.
